The Square-lipped Rhinoceros is more commonly known as the White Rhinoceros. One theory is that the English word "white" is a mistranslation of the Dutch word "wijd", which means "wide" in English. The Square-lipped Rhino certainly has a wide mouth.

The Drongo is one of the cleverest birds in Southern Africa and perhaps a psychopathic liar. The study of Drongos by Tom Flower of the University of Capetown has shown that Drongos habitually steal food from other birds and animals by mimicking their alarm calls to obtain a quarter of their food.
