The Leopard’s spots are not like the plain spots on a Chetah. Instead they are clusters of spots that have the appearance of a rosette. In fact, some dictionaries use the Leopard's spots as an example of a rosette.

On one evening game drive near dusk we stopped at a small pan of water and waited. In a few minutes the lioness in the picture appeared and lay on ground. After looking around for about ten minutes, she stretched out her neck (next picture) and made a strange low noise. A few minutes later 3 lion cubs came out of the thick brush and greeted her, nursed, and got a drink of water. The third picture was taken with flash while they explored the edge of the water.
